ABBEY MEDIEVAL FESTIVAL
July 11-12, 2021 All day

Abbeystowe
1-63 The Abbey Place
Caboolture, Qld 4510
Australia
In July each year, the Abbey Medieval Festival brings the Middle Ages to life at Abbeystowe.
The Festival includes two banquets, with lavish food and exuberant entertainment. There are five days of children-focused activities at the ‘Kids Dig It! Medieval Family Fun’ week, which is then followed by the ‘Tournament Weekend’, the crowning jewel of the Festival.
Re-enactors, musicians and street performers from across Australia join in a dynamic display of life, pageantry and drama. There is Jousting, Archery, Turkish Oil Wrestling, dancing, music, and crafts, along with historical presentations, demonstrations and visitor workshops.
There’s an incredible selection of food vendors (all of which are based on cuisine from the Middle Ages), and a wide variety of skilled artisans selling beautifully handcrafted goods.
Through this unique annual celebration, the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology enables visitors to co-create their own medieval experience in a highly engaging and immersive event that is proudly the most authentic in the southern hemisphere.
This spectacular annual event acts as a vital fund-raiser for the Abbey Museum of Art and Archaeology, in Caboolture, North Brisbane, which thrives on it’s mission to ‘enrich people’s lives through the stories created from it’s collection’.
